To ensure the active linkage of individuals with unresolved information needs to the source(s) and/or resources(s) that are best capable in addressing those needs, the Information and Referral program embodies a continuum of assistance that includes answering questions, simple referrals, complex referrals that involve identifying needs and locating resources, and client and case advocacy. Examples of subject areas include, but are not limited to, social services, schools, child care, eldercare, adoption, volunteerism, and local community resources.
