
ACS provides support to commanders of Active and Reserve Component forces and emergency essential civilians during pre-deployment, mobilization, deployment, homecoming, and stability and support operations (including mass casualties, evacuation, and natural disasters. Family Readiness Group (FRG) Leaders may also schedule briefings through MOB/Deployment. The program provides information on Family Readiness to FRG leaders, especially during mobilization and deployment.

Military Family Life Consultants - MFLC

Deployment/Mobilization Readiness program staff:
• Provides pre-deployment briefings
• Conduct Family Readiness Group training
• Provide staff members for and operates the Family Assistance Center when activated
• Assist casualty assistance officers in providing support to survivors
• Provide assistance to Family Readiness Groups
• Keep commanders abreast of major problems affecting families of either mobilized or deployed soldiers and civilians
• Provide training for designated family sponsors
• Assist single parents, dual military couples, and dual emergency essential civilian couples in developing a family care plan.
• Provide a Deployment Resource Library
Hearts Apart
You are eligible to participate in Hearts Apart if you are a Family Member (Spouse, parent, significant other, or child) that is separated from a Soldier due to a duty related mission (i.e. unaccompanied tours, deferred travel, extended TDY’s, individually deployed or deployed with a unit). You will have the opportunity to meet others in the same situation, share resources and information, participate in fun social activities together and learn from experts how to manage time and cope with stress.
