BARR MEMORIAL LIBRARY

  Barr Memorial Library serves the educational, research, and recreational needs of the Fort Knox Community by providing an array of materials and services. The book collection is diverse, with over 80,000 volumes on a wide range of subjects, including children’s books. Nearly 300 periodicals and newspapers are available in the library, with access to thousands more through various online databases.

The audiovisual collection contains several thousand videocassette titles, DVD’s, compact discs, audiocassette tapes and books on tape. Librarians are available to help find materials and assist in research, both in the library and online. The library has typewriters, PC’s, and a pay copier for the public.
 Children’s programming includes preschool story hours August through May and a summer reading program. There is no charge for these programs and services. The library is your gateway to a world of information.
