Pooch Plunge  9/10/10 

 

Event is from 4-730pm on Friday September 10!

 

The Fort Knox Water Park is going to the dogs! Bring your canine friends to wash off the summer heat with a “plunge” into the pool.  The first , and hopefully annual Pooch Plunge invites local dogs to go for a dip or just relax on the deck!  There will be contests, activities, and local pet friendly businesses for you to enjoy.   This is a great opportunity to get together with pet lovers like yourself!

 

The Pooch Plunge fee is $5 per dog, and while owners may register at the door, pre-registration is preferred.  Register your “best” friend at Anderson Pool prior to the event, and at the Water Park day of the event.  All dogs must have proof of current shots at time of registration as well as a signed waiver for participation.

 

These rules and guidelines are for the safety of the participants and must be followed.  

Dogs must be on a leash at all times unless they are in the water swimming. 

 

ogs must stay under their owner’s control at all times.

 

Water Park Staff reserves the right to remove aggressive or unfriendly dogs.  

 

Dogs must rinse off before and after swimming in the pool.  (To reduce skin irritations for your pet. There will be shampoo stations set up around the pool)

 

Owners can only wade into the water up to their knees.   No swimming permitted for people.

 

Owners are responsible for picking up after their pets.  Areas will be set aside for your pet to take care of business.

 

Dogs in heat and puppies under four months old are restricted from attending event. 

 

Small children are cautioned not to attend due to possibility of being knocked over in the pool. 

 

Owners should bring extra help if small children are attending.
